Individual Counselling

Individual counselling involves seeing a counsellor on a one-to-one basis, providing an opportunity for you to have focused attention and space to work through whatever concerns you have.


Individual counselling may involve helping you:

  • To understand yourself better

  • To search for and work through the core of an issue or concern

  • To work towards positive changes in an area of your life

  • To discover and implement a new approach to an issue or concern

Individual counselling can cover issues such as (but not limited to):

  • Abuse

  • Addictions

  • Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse

  • Anger management

  • Anxiety

  • Attachment wounds

  • Assertiveness & communication

  • Building better relationships

  • Boundaries

  • Depression

  • Domestic violence victims

  • Grief, loss, & bereavement

  • Family of origin issues

  • Life transitions & adjustments (including migration & cultural issues)

  • Making important life decisions

  • Relationship issues

  • Self-esteem and self-worth

  • Spirituality (Christian perspective)

  • Stress management

  • Student issues

  • Trauma

  • Workplace issues (including critical incidents)

  • Women's issues
