Clinical Supervision

Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or an emerging counsellor who is looking for support in those early years when you are still building confidence and professional identity, having the right supervisor to support your professional growth and development is key to long-term success.

With a decade of counselling experience, my supervision is grounded in a relational, developmental and process-oriented approach to tailor to your needs, level of experience and preferred modalities. I place a strong emphasis on reflective practice, encouraging deep self-awareness and insight, helping you enhance your clinical work through thoughtful self-reflection and exploration. While supervision supports you in the theories and modalities you already use, new ways of working can be offered to grow your intervention ‘toolkit’.

My experience includes a decade of private practice and collaborating with non-profit organisations such as Blue Knot Foundation, The Benevolent Society and Catholic Care in areas such as grief, complex trauma, and in the carer space. In my own practise, I use an integrative approach that includes modalities such as Emotion-Focused, Narrative, Interpersonal, Person-Centered and Solutions-Focused therapies.

A good supervision relationship is built on trust, openness, and mutual respect. If you are ready to find someone who can support your journey as a counsellor, I’d be happy to have a conversation to discuss expectations and goals, and see if we are a good fit.

I offer individual supervision at a rate of $120 per hourly session.

Benefits as a Supervisee
Counselling can be incredibly rewarding—but it’s also challenging. That’s why clinical supervision is so important. It gives counsellors a regular space to reflect, get support, and keep growing in their work. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, supervision has real benefits for both you and your clients.

1. A space to reflect and grow
Supervision gives you time to step back from sessions and look at your work with fresh eyes. You’ll have the chance to explore what’s working, where you might feel stuck, and how to deepen your therapeutic skills. It’s a space for honest reflection without judgment.

2. A sounding board for ethical practice
Tough decisions come up in therapy all the time. Supervision gives you a chance to talk things through, check you’re staying on track with professional standards, and figure out the best course of action when things get complicated. It helps you stay grounded in your ethics and make decisions with confidence.

3. Emotional support and resilience
Let’s face it—listening to people’s struggles day in and day out can take a toll. Supervision gives you a safe space to offload, reflect on what’s coming up for you emotionally, and avoid burnout. It’s self-care that keeps you strong for your clients.

4. Better Outcomes for Clients
When you’re supported and reflective, your clients benefit. Supervision helps you spot blind spots, gain new perspectives, and stay creative in the therapy room—so you can offer the best possible support to the people you work with.

5. Accountability
Supervision helps you stay accountable and up to date with best practices. It’s not about being checked up on—it’s about staying aligned with what good, ethical, and effective therapy looks like.

6. A place to be you
Supervision is one of the few spaces in the profession where you don’t have to hold everything together. It gives you a space to talk those cases through with someone who gets it. You can show up as you are, knowing that your development and wellbeing matter too.
